We doubled production at the Salamanca site and introduced larger formats in the market. Sales of European ceramics have slowed slightly with the economy. Our new product introductions of the SmartStrand Silk Reserve and Air.O combined soft collections and the Karastan luxury collections have gained momentum in the market. Our new water-resistant RevWood collection is rapidly growing into retail and construction as an alternative to hardwood. ” For the quarter, as has been reported, the Flooring Rest of the World segment has grown by 16% and 8% on a constant basis exchange rates. The segment’s operating income increased by 16%, as reported, with an adjusted operating result of 17%. This is the result of improved pricing, product mix and productivity that offset inflation, startup costs and expired patents. Our LVT sales increased dramatically and will continue to grow as production expands. So far, we have made flexible LVT.
We have completed a first production of rigid LVT, which will be launched in the third quarter.
